... many gracious people on this trip & got to know them personally.
We will have a nice breakfast out and take advantage of this classy place tomorrow Am. Drew is holding up but hope to have Dr. apt. in line tomorrow am.
Had planned Backgammon tonight but ol' Eagle eyes' is asleep, so will get my book out.

... a glass of wine while watching the sunset. Then we headed for Clarks Seafood & Chops (a favorite eatery) for scallops and crab cakes. The combination of a warm day (Mag actually was in shorts and tee shirt for awhile), quick passage thru the last drawbridge, easy mileage with no real navigational hotspots, made for a very satisfying days run topped off with a great meal. Our start this rnorning found us aground in the mouth of Jeremy Creek after leaving Leland Oil dock in McClellansville, SC. While this wasn't on our plan it did provide the opportunity to eat a nice breakfast, coming unstuck from the oatmeal-like bottom just as we finished the last of our coffee. From then on the day unfolded as planned, catching the tides just right and hitting all waypoints on schedule. The incoming tide carried us up Winyah Bay and we actually sailed ...

It was 23degrees Celsius and we didn't know what to do with ourselves. We spent the morning sitting in our beach chairs in our jeans enjoying the sound of the waves and reading our books. It was nice to finally be in warm weather but we knew it wasn’t going to last. They were called for a low of 2degrees that evening and we were not looking forward to it. ... but we managed to get some sweet potatoes, onions, carrots, peppers and even some boiled peanuts. We had never had boiled peanuts before and the guy said that outsiders usually don’t like them because it’s an acquired taste but after a little test peanut we thought they were great.
