... people skiing were like pros and even the kids were good! There were some cuties that wouldn't have been older than three taking the lifts up and skiing down by themselves - MAD!! There is a great bar out the front of our hotel that looks out to the slopes called Vega Vega and we indulged in a cocktail or two for happy our after our days skiing.

All in all our ski experience was amazing and totally worth going five star all the way.

Some of the original buildings are evident and very well maintained. They are similar in style to the 'painted ladies' houses that we saw in San Francisco. A couple of delightful Californian Pinot Noirs in front of the fire was a lovely way to finish one of the most exciting weekends we have experienced. To think we do it all again with the men next weekend in Beaver Creek! Bring it On!!

The perfect way to end such an exciting day? Fireworks of course, and Aspen didn't disappoint. Multi coloured fireworks lit up the sky and the snow on the slopes of the mountain. A truly spectacular and memorable day.

Room with a View!
When I opened my eyes this morning it was an OMG moment. I was looking at Shadow Mountain and the Slopes of Aspen. Unreal! It was a bluebird day and we were looking at the World Cup course. Couldn't ask for anything better than that.

Exploring Aspen
After breakfast we walked up to check out the World Cup course. As it was, the skiers were having their familiarisation of the course so we ...
