      Hunting for ski jumps

Today was snowing all day, but just lightly so we went out for a ski together in the morning. We decided not to go to vail as we thought it would be crowded being the weekend. Harvey and jazzy LOVE going over little jumps (and big ones for jazz) so the morning was spent with Harvey saying "Dad, can you find dome more jumps?" I have attached a photo of Harvey doing a jump. Everyone skied well ...

Just a fun day skiing today. I think I am finally getting the hang of it now and actually found that that I am stopping to take in the beautiful scenery rather than looking down at my feet and freaking out! I skied with Harvey today who only had a couple if falls and I think is also starting to enjoy it a lot more....he is starting to deliberately make turns a lot more ...

      Tubing at copper

Today's highlight was tubing at copper mountain. Tubing is very similar to the one that we went yo with you allie up at Arthur's seat where you sit in big tube-like tyres and go down big manmade hills. Except here the hills are made out of snow. There are 4 hills you can choose from from fastest to slowest. Jazzy and I got a double tube and went down ...

... on the green runs now. Jjazzy has made me promise that I will try a blue run before we leave in 1.5 weeks from now. Jazzy is really good skier now... When we are doing the green runs she darts off to the Side of the runs for the steeper parts and does little jumps too. Tonight we went out to a little local Mexican restaurant with Jesse and Jackson.

      It's Super G Time!

Back to do it all again! Men's Super G on the difficult Birds of Prey Course at Beaver Creek.

Super G is like downhill but with a few more gates that the skier has to pass through. Unlike downhill though they do not get any training runs on the actual course only a course inspection an hour or so before the start time. This adds to the challenge for the skier and excitement for the spectators as sometimes it all goes horribly ...
