... we rose bright and early ready for a day of shopping. We ran down to the beach for a quick dip in the ocean before heading to the local diner for a scrumy full American breakfast. ... downside to DFW: it is busy! We sat on the Tarmac for 45 minutes just waiting to take off.

As we learned, one disadvantage of the overnight layover is that is it is longer than 12 hours, you have to claim your backs and re-check them in.
