... mehr eine Touristenabzocke. Wir zahlten für unsere zwei (Riesen-)Cocktails und die Limonade satte 60$ - lustig wars trotzdem. Man lernt: immer vorher fragen, wieviel denn was kostet ;)
Weiter nördlich am öffentlichen Strand war der weisse Sand dann richtig zugemüllt, so dass wir keine Lust mehr hatten baden zu gehen. So haben wir wenigstens die Abendstimmung zwischen Lokalen (viele Kubaner) genossen mit Latino Sound im Hintergrund.

Operation Recovery
... then had a lovely drive in our own private car to South Beach Miami. It took just over half an hour and we were to get to our hotel – Loews – what a beautiful hotel – right on the beach. However they didn’t have a room available for us and couldn’t tell us when one would be ready – only that guaranteed check in was at 4pm. So not overjoyed but left our luggage and set off to explore. Florida - the SUNSHINE state
... beaches. We didn't realise at the time but it was 67 blocks away... so we were sunburnt and had sore feet when we finally got there. We saw some... "interesting" sites along the way.
We had a nice lunch with cocktails and lived it up for a bit before gettinga cab ride back to our hotel. We spent the whole afternoon relaxing on the banana lounges by the pool at our hotel. It was wonderful to thaw out after the cold weather up north.

... br> Jeg var blevet fortalt på forhånd, at Miami Lufthavns marmorgulv var bedre at ligge på, end at sidde i deres sæder. Alligevel måtte jeg lige prøve efter at have spist en sandwich og jeg efterhånden var så træt at jeg var helt svimmel, men gik hurtigt fra sædet for at slutte mig til de folk, der havde fundet et stykke med gulvtæppe! – Det var trods alt meget bedre end sæderne, og lidt bedre end marmorgulvet… Nu er klokken 4 om natten ...
