... inside of the rocca has been excavated and all of the artifacts and mosaics that have been unearthed are nicely displayed with boards outlining the signifigance of what you are looking at. It was very cool, the only dissapointment was that the watchtowers were not open to the public but after our stair climbing in Assisi we were OK with that.

Later today we look forward to exploring more of the town, a castle, a 300 ft bridge over an ancient Roman aquaduct, and an ancient Roman Ampitheatre that still is in tact here in town. We may even do a little shopping still lots of room in the backpacks.

In the meantime I am off to work on a talk that has been neglected and can`t be any longer as I have a double header in April. Ciao!

I was leaning on the fence quite a bit towards going to Milan today for a soccer game, the only issue is that Milan is 5 1/2 hours from here, if driving wasn't quite so crazy and I actually had a reason to go other than curiosity I probably would have done it but we opted instead to do some more exploring a little closer to home.
