The road is begging for a Top Gear test drive, windie, hilly, with swoops and breathtaking views. A final photo of the camp-studded hillside with the forest clad mountain behind and we are off, down the dirt road and over the creek, enjoying the diamond sparkle of sun on dewy fences and heading back through the Mary Valley and on to Nambour - ready for our next adventure.

The outcome? Well… it appears that somewhere along the line we had managed to flick a stone up into the space behind the wheel near the disc brake. The sound we heard was the stone tumbling over and over, slowly being crushed down until it was able to be spat out… to give you an idea of what we were hearing… put a large chunk of gravel into your clothes dryer and take it for a spin…
