... you want the sun all day, you have to keep moving. I reckon il need a nap when I get back before we go out, seeing as I was up at 8 this morning. It's always impossible for me and my mum to facetime as we are busy at different times, so we arranged last Sunday to FaceTime this weekend, Friday night 10pm for her, which is 9am over here. A machine scanned your passport, you answered questions on the screen, it took your photo and printed a declaration card--all without talking to a person. We picked up our rental car and headed for the Gold Coast, about an hour and a half drive south. Adapting to right hand drive ...

... one to shame.

Thanks to auntie Shirl, uncle John, Cora, Justin and Mickal for looking after the boys today for us.

This evening we drove into Surfers Paradise to meet all the family members at the market along the beach. Followed by some dinner at the local La Porchetta's. Just in case the vanilla slice and donuts weren't enough!! Fun times with a large family dinner! Off to Movieworld tomorrow
