... walk after lunch and am now sitting in the tavern as there is no WIFI anywhere else in the park. Clever move that but at least it is free which is something as it even costs 50 cents to use the water to wash the dishes. Showers also incur a fee as does nearly everything else. Still all is good and we are very comfortable here. Talked to a few people at our campsite and will go back and have a drink with them later.

... in this predicament. Why didn't we buy a quilt at Ikea just in case we didn't find sleeping bags? How did we not know that stores in Belgium and much of Europe close on Saturday night at 6 and aren't open on Sunday? Weeks later we laughed about it, but it was not funny at the time. Thank heaven for the small bed and that we had each other. :) It was cold but cozy. We're pretty sure the temperature got near freezing that night.

... on their bikes, watching the constant foot traffic of quite a diverse ethnic cross section of people going about their lives - kids going to school, moms going to the stores, dads going to their jobs, families going to their places of worship, teens going shoppping, on and on and on........... And then there's the more personal side of daily activities: walking pretty much every morning down the street to pick up bread ...
