... been told Antwerp rates highly in the fashion world and there are dozens of fashion stores, interspersed with occasional jewelers - maybe diamonds - but I think the diamond dealers, now mostly Indian are is another part of the city. A brisk walk back to the boat and we were soon away, sailing at 6 pm.

Next day. I am publishing now without photos, just in case. Last night it said I had exceeded my licence limit, but this morning I was given a new code, so I am hopeful.

... walk after lunch and am now sitting in the tavern as there is no WIFI anywhere else in the park. Clever move that but at least it is free which is something as it even costs 50 cents to use the water to wash the dishes. Showers also incur a fee as does nearly everything else. Still all is good and we are very comfortable here. Talked to a few people at our campsite and will go back and have a drink with them later.

In the evening we met up with rest of the family for a sandwich spread at my aunt and uncle’s. In addition to participating in the traditional family quiz, we placed our bets for when my cousin’s highly pregnant partner would give birth to their first child.

... in this predicament. Why didn't we buy a quilt at Ikea just in case we didn't find sleeping bags? How did we not know that stores in Belgium and much of Europe close on Saturday night at 6 and aren't open on Sunday? Weeks later we laughed about it, but it was not funny at the time. Thank heaven for the small bed and that we had each other. :) It was cold but cozy. We're pretty sure the temperature got near freezing that night.
