... 8217;t raised the roof so there must be more to come. About five of the low bridges so far, a few higher ones and one drawbridge. It is overcast, but fairly calm. A very pleasant evening on the river. Dinner still to come.
This morning it rained and the tour of the city was a trip around some of the interesting streets, a beer tasting, plus a guided tour of a few aspects of the Catholic cathedral. The beer tasting was not my scene, but it was out of the rain ...
... we were. John is happy as €8.27 for the night, free water and electric 50 cents for 2kw. It is a pretty little harbour and just outside Spring Tide John found another couple of local girls!
We had a walk to see the windmill and the unusual star shaped moat "Schans" forts before walking into the village.
After the walk, we still had time to try the washing machine and put the new system to the test. It worked ...
... walk after lunch and am now sitting in the tavern as there is no WIFI anywhere else in the park. Clever move that but at least it is free which is something as it even costs 50 cents to use the water to wash the dishes. Showers also incur a fee as does nearly everything else. Still all is good and we are very comfortable here. Talked to a few people at our campsite and will go back and have a drink with them later.

In the evening we met up with rest of the family for a sandwich spread at my aunt and uncle’s. In addition to participating in the traditional family quiz, we placed our bets for when my cousin’s highly pregnant partner would give birth to their first child.
... in this predicament. Why didn't we buy a quilt at Ikea just in case we didn't find sleeping bags? How did we not know that stores in Belgium and much of Europe close on Saturday night at 6 and aren't open on Sunday? Weeks later we laughed about it, but it was not funny at the time. Thank heaven for the small bed and that we had each other. :) It was cold but cozy. We're pretty sure the temperature got near freezing that night.
