    Today has been a significantly better day. We had a relatively easy load in, with a dock that supported eight trucks. There was little use for a forklift because everything could be pushed off the trucks. The main LED screen went in in almost record time, so there was plenty of time for me to build and place my side screens.

    ... and it explains the name Coinjock as being from the Native Americans for the berries which grow there.

    It was a nice little marina, and we pulled up to the dock and soon after enjoyed a great meal. When Dad had talked to the owner he asked about the restaurant there and what time they opened for breakfast. The owner remarked that they serve a 32 oz steak for dinner so they don't have to come in for breakfast.

    We saw in the newspaper this morning before leaving Sanford that they were predicting a heatwave today in North Carolina which went against our hopes of fresh sea breezes on the Atlantic coast.

    The birth of flight (so they say), for me this was the main reason for coming over to the outer banks, to experience the place where Wilbur and Orville first managed a controlled powered flight and recorded that fact.
