... are said to have occurred in 1917, on the 13th day of June, July, September and October - story has it that the little shepherds were kept in the local prison for three days (we are unsure why) so in August the apparition occurred on the 19th. The last apparition was apparently witnessed by 70, 000 people with the Virgin saying a chapel was to be built ... demanding wasn't she. The area was visited by Pope John Paul II three times, with the last in 2000. The cousins died, early ...

... a little chapel filled with flowers and candles. It has displays of costumes and artifacts connected to religious ceremonies and the uniqueness of the place makes it very special. If we were Catholic we would have stopped to pray here, but we can't be hypocrites.
Back to our local beach for a drink and enjoy watching people wind surfing.
