... the beautiful countryside - which is again, exactly how you'd imagine the view to look like. It was so cool! ... While they do many things well, I have not yet been able to get a really good martini in Australia. I ordered one on my birthday, while waiting for our dinner at the Four Winds -- but they didn't have vermouth (!), and the poor bartendress really didn't know how to make a twist ("oh, that's what that funny instrument is for!"). So, I had some vodka with bit of a lemon wedge in it.

... food was delicious, particularly the coconut rice!! We packed up our leftovers and went to the pub where Chad normally plays in his band, Agent 77. It was nice to sit outside in the warm air enjoying half price vodka and shots thanks to Chad. It was good to meet their mates and see what they get up to on a school night. ... getting lively about! Day 13, last couple of days left together. We took a short drive north to surfers paradise, Gold Coast. Well known as the most touristy, party centre of the east coast. Unfortunately I was having a clumsy day, not quite functioning correctly. The highlight came at lunchtime, sitting outside at a cafe, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to open the ketchup pot. Then unfortunately as I gave it a squeeze, it squirted up and out, all over ...
... Turkey. After four or so days in Istanbul we pick up a car with the plan of travelling throughout Turkey for four or so weeks. Neville keeps reminding Barry........ I'm in charge of the boat, you're in charge of the car .... we'll see. Bo Bo and myself have decided we will stay in the back seat and lay low! On our journey back home we will have a stop over in Singapore to catch our breath. We arrive home in July. Are we ready? You betcha .... Well ...
