The fundraising so far has been hard work, the whole thing has been hard!
It has been almost 6 months since the interview with Lattitude Global Volunteering and about 5 months siince I was accepted into the programme.
I'm hoping in August of this year to go out to Ecuador to teach, I'll be in Quito for the first week for the orientation and then off to meet the host family! Don't know when in August, don't know where in Ecuador I will be ...

... forms for Emergency Passports and Standard Passports. We also had to go get some passport photos taken; Crag looking like a wild hill billy and myself looking rather bedraggled after filling up with tears for most the morning!

To top everything off we got told we wouldn´t get the Emergency Passports until the following Monday, which meant we were stuck in Quito, our least favourite place, for another five days. We were thrilled!!

... nothing like when we went to the Arctic circle with Santa! We took a few obligotary photos and set back to Quito.
Barry got sick one night, complaining his back hurt.We took a taxi to the hospital to find out what was wrong. After a few hours of being hooked up to some strong pain killers and having a scan, he was told it was kidney stones! They were close to being passed so he was allowed to leave, thankfully, and it wasnt too serious.
