Day 1: its another long drive day today. As we leave sunny Tadoussac we are on the road again for about 7 hours.

Today was a bit of a non event given we spent most of it driving. Once we got to downtown Montreal we found our new home easily enough. However, on opening the door we were welcomed with the stench of cigarette smell. My first act was to get on the wifi to email our host. Unfortunately he tells us that the apartment is advertised as "smoking allowed" ...

Too tired to explore the area around us which is where the Olympics were held back in the 70's. The village is opposite the Hotel Universel and the stadium and park on the other side. Richard just wanted a petrol cap lock for the Pontiac because on the news they said there were a lot of break-ins in Montreal especially cars. Went the wrong way first (back to Walmart) so I got the milk ...

... Mc Donalds in South America, to a billion dollar IPO of an idea started in a college dorm, the quality of the entrepreneurs that I got a chance to interview was really incredible. I feel that I was very fortunate to meet several of the renowned entrepreneurs in the region and have built a very powerful network in Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. There are so many stories that I would love to write about and I am very happy to have taken good notes ...

    Return to summer

... I stepped off the plane into muggy 28-degree heat and humidity. It was not an entirely pleasant feeling. My hair, which had been more or less behaving itself all trip, started to frizz up. And my eyes started to water almost immediately. Oh, hello allergies, I haven't missed you.

But the good news is, I've returned to summer. Which means festivals, events, barbecues in the park, long nights where it doesn't ...
