    ... and glided back down the mountain and enjoyed a lovely walk through the adjacent Mont Royal Park which was apparently designed by the same designer as Grand Central Park in New York City. After two hours of climbing, posing for photographs and trudging through the ice and snow, the tour guide took us to Old Montreal, the old city center with remains dating back to New France.     This was a really good day but it started out badly and was about to take a much more annoying turn! It was a Tuesday and our final night in the hostel. Due to the fact we had not really slept well (due to the 8 bed dorm) we were really looking forward to moving on to our Airbnb flat and a private room.
