... discovered a metre that was about to expire they fed a few coins into the metre to save the owner from a hefty fine. The PR stunt worked and tourists flocked to the Gold Coast to catch a glimpse of these young slips in jazzy swimwear. Nowadays, I doubt they still perform their original duties (they charged us $5 for a photograph), but have become as idiosyncratic of the region as its skyline.

... on my back as it got heavier wit the rain, I was miserable.

I finally made it to the hostel and through the flooded court yard to reception. The lady that I must have spoken to, let me check in straight away, I think the face I gave her, warned her not to argue! The hostel rooms where all around the courtyard in 2 floors, she said that no rooms on the ground floor were now in use due to the amount of rain and worries about flooding! ... playground and Noah and I alternate between chatting and Woody wrangling. For much of the time Woody balances his Mr Tickle hat on his head and has great fun using his ‘extraordinarily long arms’ to tickle people. He is super happy to see Leonie’s boys, and follows them around quite a lot. We have a great lunch, and then head back to the gold coast.

... ná úr mér kvefinu (er öll að koma til núna! :) Gaman að leyfa sér smá lúxus, það er líka frítt wifi hérna (þess vegna eru myndirnar allar komnar inn, jeyj) og ókeypis þvottaaðstaða (kostar venjulega 3-4 dollara…) það er ótrúlegt hvað maður verður þakklátur fyrir alla litlu hlutina þegar maður er búinn að vera að ferðast í 2 mánuði og aðeins að átta sig á því hvað maður tekur miklu sem sjálfsögðum hlut heima…

... to be in Broadbeach. Hopefully if all goes to plan, we will have pictures up of our place soon :)

So we have found a place to stay, a 1 bedroom apartment with everything we need!!! All we need now is Jobs which we are trying our best for, i guess over the next 6 months our travel pod is going to updated occasionally when we have new interesting things to add! We will update as soon as we get into our new place next Thursday and upload pictures :)
