        Red Hot Habanero Chilli Peppers

A travel blog entry by ayc17 on May 31, 2015

The next morning we ventured out ot the centre of downtown with the urge to have some Mexican food. Anything with a bit of taste in it would be welcome after the food in Cuba! What followed was us nearly killing ourselves with habanero sauce which is one of the hottest in the world. Our taste buds still worked thankfully. Also we ventured into a supermarket and we were astounded at what we saw. It was a normal equivalent to tesco but we felt like a fat kid in ...

These colectivos actually reminded me of the taxis in South Africa. Unfortunately, I never got to use one there, for two reasons: Firstly, I was unable to figure out how they work back then. And secondly they ...

... on the way back, a Mexican colonial town, to look around a church. We were a little underwhelmed by this place particularly having just been to Chichen Itza. The day was topped off with a fire show on the beach of our hotel which was fantastic.

Wednesday 2nd July I celebrated my birthday in style and was truly spoilt. What could be better than celebrating a birthday lounging on a beach bed ...

We went back to do a call of Mike's yesterday. A Mexican man who speaks English. When Mike called he was on his way out but asked him to return. He invited us in and we sat down and he told us about his life and how he had been to catholic school but no longer went to church. He believes in God but doesn't like the Catholic Church, how and what it teaches people so he views himself as agnostic. While he was ...
