    ... so it isn’t a huge bus. It was the perfect size, actually.

    The couple who run the tour are local residents and have been doing the bus and sailboat tours for many years. The man, Les Pendleton, is also an author. He has a number of books published. He spent over 20 years in the motion picture business and his writing style is said to be highly influenced by that.

    Hello from New Bern, North Carolina. We got up today a bit earlier than normal since we were packing up to head out. We took Harley for his usual walk and while checking out a new area of the park, we encountered some ducklings near one of the lakes. They we sitting directly under the shade of a palm tree on the grass. There were two male adults and one female adult watching after them. Cheryl got some good pictures so you can see them, too.

    ... up closing the place down. When we were getting ready to leave, it was pouring down the rain. We talked about a cab but figured by the time the cab got there, if one came, we could already be at the hotel so we headed out. By the time we got there, we were all soaked, rain dripping off our heads wet. We all were laughing pretty hard by the time we got to the hotel.     ... a long day, almost without rain (as predicted) except at the very first of the trip. We hastily secured Rhiannon. Maggie put together some delicious tuna melt, and we relaxed with a feeling of accomplishment for completing a long trek with a little navigational challenge at the end.
