... of drug smuggling - not a good look. So I had to unwrap them all and put the in clear plastic bags to avoid any confusion and embarrassment. Phew. I am NOT looking forward to the 5am start tomorrow to drive to Newcastle - but at least it might mean I'm tired enough to sleep on one of my planes, and might alleviate some jet lag. . . who knows. I've never had it before so I don't know what to expect. At least I have a nice hotel with a comfy bed. . .I hope!Wish me luck . . . . ...

So that's good. I have no idea how I am going to communicate with people - taxi drivers, waiters, shopkeepers and such like - but plenty of people manage just fine, so I'm probably worrying over nothing.I must go and check my bag again, more updates when there's more to ...

... like a lot of people, I'd imagine, we are compelled by the what if. What if we never went away to see the world; we would never know. I suppose that's why we're stepping vastly out of the comfort zones we've been used. After waiting since November, that day to take it all on has finally arrived, so lets see what happens.
