... beach! WE ATE/DRANK: - BBQ of assorted wagyu beef with kimchi, rice and salad - mango beer and pineapple beer WE LOVED: - having a really chilled day after the typhoon stress (we still don't know whether we'll be stranded tomorrow but hey ho!) - getting told by the receptionist that by ticking to not have our towels/sheets etc changed every day we'd accumulated enough points to select a gift from the reception. We choose.... A (souvenir tea) ...

WE LOVED: - spending time with and getting to know Sao and Tan - the opportunity to see areas of the island we otherwise wouldn't have been able to - the gleaming white sand and crystal clear sea, which you didn't even need to go snorkelling to see a few fish swimming around in the shallows. They even decided to give James a free pedicure which was received with a few (a lot of!) ...

... lunch (Okinawan ramen) prepared on the spot at the top of the waterfall looking over the bay - trek back down through the jungle followed by a final kayak back to the minibus, then ferry back to Ishigaki - after a quick freshen up and change at the hotel we cycled to the nearest beach via the supermarket and had a picnic on the beautiful empty beach WE LOVED: Everything!
