We woke up in our fantastic hotel room that Mum had booked ages ago and we decided to have breakfast in bed,our only room service so far. It was great and everyone had a good brekky.

Next on my list of errands was Costco where she told me to take a slight right onto Old something Road. I took the slight right -- but ended up on HWY 50 towards Lake Tahoe. The thing about this road is that it is a divided highway with no turnarounds for 15 miles. The road goes UP and UP and UP, from about 4000 feet to 7000 feet. ... of Yosemite, we found out that because of the Rim fire the road through Yosemite that we were to take was closed so we had to go a very long way around to Lake Tahoe it took us the rest of the day.'
On the way out of Yosemite we saw all the devastation caused by the fire we could see mountains of trees burnt and still smouldering and we also saw lots of fire trucks and ...
After the museum we did a little shopping and then headed for Campo for dinner. My friend's daughter had heard that the chef had won some awards and had made the reservation for us. We had a fine dinner and then wandered into a casino. My friend and his daughter played blackjack for a while. Then we wandered back to our hotel and went to bed.
... it will prove more sturdy than the other. Great show last night with the Blank Tapes and Two Gallants at the Chapel Tavern, it's a crazy town, casinos, strip joints and chicken wings, this is our kind of place!
Off to High Sierra festival now via Lake Tahoe for a much needed swim, it is stupidly hot.
