Even the woman working at our little hotel leapt out of her chair and nearly dropped her cigarette when we walked in through the entrance, such was her surprise to see someone actually walk in and ask for a room. Yes, the ship is moving. You can constantly feel it. But it is a very smooth movement and (so far) we did not get sea sick.
