... rather than a harbour. Looking ashore from the ship there was this impressive, long, wide staircase leading from the port up to the town. It looked very colonial, with white concrete balustrades, and palm trees in the surrounding parklands. So we duly left the ship and climbed the stairs to explore Mahon. ... all artisanal bread and homemade everything. Special mention has to be made of the toiletries...not something IŽd usually get excited about, but this was all handmade in the Balearics by Gaia products....smell of rosemary.Now my very favourite.

... occasions we drove to the market in Arta where Sonja bought some great cheeses. One just about ran away when we opened the packet and the other looked like it was older the I am.
