... people were boring and left at like 1am and I was the only one who wasn't leaving that stayed out late so I felt so rubbish when I had to get on the coach at 6.30am to head for the ferry terminal to get the ferry to the South Island! Ouch!! I slept the whole ferry which was 3 hours and then we had a long drive to Hanmer Springs. I thought that the scenery in the North Island was amazing but the South Island is a million times better! It is amazing how beautiful everything is! ...

Hot springs always amuse me. They seem to attract a mostly geriatric crowd seeking that elusive fountain of youth. I blame that darned eighties movie, Cocoon. Yes, I'm old too!
