      ... good understanding of the way plants grow in the rain forest - all competing for light. Some even hitch a ride on larger trees to get up to the light.       ... It wasn't long before I buddied up with a fellow solo traveller - Kara. An awesome bubbly chick who also loves adventure..

      All up I experienced 10 dives and 2 snorkelling trips - Just amazing!!!

      The first boat (Sea Quest) took us from Cairns to the outer reef, provided us with gear, a delicious lunch and allowed us to have 2 dives at different sites, then it was time to transfer to the larger liveaboard catamaran - Ocean Quest.

      ... feet. The coral drops like a cliff down to a sandy bottom and the lifeguard takes us on a long guided snorkel around a patch of coral. The ride back is even wilder than the ride out with the boat leaping across some waves then dropping like a stone on the other side.
