Today we took a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. This included 1 scuba dive and a trip ashore Green Island which is a sand bank in the middle of the reef. The boat wat a nice small sailing boat which looked much better than the 3 story catamarans that were chockablock with people. It took ~2 hours to get to the reef and site we were staying for the day. We were the first group to scuba. We were given the choice of stinger suits or not as they said ...

Today has probably been one of the better days and I'm hoping it will influence the days to come, especially as it's supposed to rain tomorrow and we genuinely can't go anywhere for a change. After lunch we travelled another 20 minutes (I perched on ...

... town with many people taking trips from here to the Great Barrier Reef and is currently jammed full of Chinese because of the soon to be Year of the Sheep. It was developed because of the Gold found in the Hodgkinson River area although later Port Douglas was found to be an easier outlet. It now has a population of over 1 1/2 million

Iced coffee went down well and further rest and sudoku until the hotel returned our 'basic' wash laundry but I ...

... a spot to sit by the lagoon. Realised that i'd forgotten my towel so we didn't go in. Just had a sit and ate crisps while we were there.

Headed back to the hostel and dropped our stuff off. Went and sat to upload some pictures.

After a while we decided to go in the pool. Spent a quite a while in there until it was invaded by more people. So we decide to dry off then go for showers.
We needed to pack everything so ...
