Day 9
Taking things easy today, as I'm feeling a bit under the weather. I head down to the centre of Hillsborough around half ten and spend a pleasant morning working in a tea room, feeling a tad out of place with my huge laptop. A very twee establishment indeed, with quality china, woolly tea cosies and plenty of grannies. Days 7 and 8
Waiting for the tram in Hillsborough, I see a parent with their child on a "leash". Or with reins, as they were called in my day. Very practical indeed, but they would doubtless cause an outcry in Sweden. Also chance upon a general store, and by general I mainly mean tat. Looking for outrageous bling to take back to Sweden but it's all far too tasteful. But do manage to pick up some Little Britain stickers for 20p.

Sitting in the Graduate pub opposite the Central Library - never been here before, not sure it even existed in my day. It's lunchtime, and the clientele look like a mix of locals and students. They have some kind of student discount scheme called i-card. I-everything these days, innit? Guessing that the student populace has changed a lot since tuition fees came in.
