... for lunch at the Telford Inn, which is by the Trevor basin canal boat base and a highly recommended spot, before waddling over the adjacent, and very scary, Pontcysyllte aqueduct. Although the path is wide and the canal is between you and the unfenced drop on the other side , it is noticeable that everyone does like to hold on to the railings!

So we're starting this little trip tomorrow.

I guess it's only right to start a little record of all the events that follow. There are a number of reasons for this. One is so people know where we are, and also so somewhere down the line, when nostalgia strikes, I can read this back and judge my use of the English language.

We hopped on a bus at 8am and took the journey to Liverpool, but not before I picked up Catching Fire and Mockingjay, the last 2 books of the trilogy. The bus ride was a bit awkward because I kept falling asleep and waking up disoriented with my mouth wide open. I hope I wasn't talking in my sleep or anything (my friends here say I do that a lot.)
