Oh dear - so soon? The horrid travel day has reared its ugly head. We aren't very good at travel days ... We tend to spend a fair bit of time planning for them but something invariably goes wrong. Today we found out we hadn't booked the hire car! We had decided that the easiest way to get a hire car for this trip was to get one from Heathrow. It is easier to drive around to get out of London than the city. We went through the maze which was a lot of ...

trainers started losing their soles too, so he wanted a new pair of walking shoes, so we went shopping. He also wanted some new work trousers and shirts in case he's put on too much weight on this trip. So we went through the mall, and found all of the above. ...

... from reception which was great. The man at reception gave us a map, which we had to give back as it was the hotels lone map, and, after explaining to us how to get to the bus station, then spent a good while searching the map, systematically from top to bottom, in search of the bus station. Considering he had just described the way, Will and I laughed at his 'Where's Wally' approach to the map. Huddled together on our double bed, Will and I slept, our first and last night in ...
