Once again, our server was amazing and engaging. He fulfiled Deana's desire for an authetic sidewalk cafe lunch superbly, and we watched the passers-by with amazement. This is, after all, PARIS! I pointed to the guy above my bunk and explained again. All three guys turned and looked at the guy above my bunk, amazingly looking quite concerned! French Guy #1 follows me over and cli,bs onto the bunk to check the guy. He reached over and turned the bunk light off for me (noisy guy had left it on... which was also annoying). ... got off so that we could enjoy a walk at night. We passed by a pastry shop which is very expensive and decided to try a chocolate macaroon. We waited to eat it until we reached a beautiful fountain which had red and blue lights shinning through the water. That macaron was delicious! The filling wasn't just chocolate, it tasted like creamy fudge. Everything we have splurged on has been rewarding. If I could, I would live here just for the food. I feel like every day I am here ...

... great experience and we enjoyed doing something a little different in Paris.Lunch finished at 3pm and we had arranged to meet Chris again at the Arc de Triomphe.

Chris had been going up the Eiffel Tower while we were eating lunch and watching it! I had been to the Arc de Triomphe twice before but never climbed up to the top. But after the climb in the morning plus a few more stairs in the Metro stations, plus the heat, I was beginning to regret the ...
