Giacomo and I went scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef today and it was absolutely amazing! I've been wanting to go scuba diving there ever since I got my first PADI certification when I was 14 or something. We went on a trip with a catamaran called Passions of Paradise, and dived in Michaelmas Cay and Breaking Patches. The water depth in Michaelmas Cay was only about 7 metres at the most, and the water was turquoise ...

I walked along the Esplanade and didnt dare go into the ocean given all the risks. There was a section of the beach which was netted off to allow for swimming. Be careful if you go in the morning as Crocs have been known to come onto the beach and then go into the netted section so exercise caution. I also walked up the Hill look out point which has an amazing view of the beach with the mountains in the background.

But soon it became the Darren show, every time we saw him we would be cornered and force fed more and more. He was older than us, and during one tale of his scuba diving experience he produced his certification ID card, born in 1978! He was 36, worked in the navy, but was staying at ...

... on a 12k hike, dressed in onesies. I am not sure what the other hikers thought seeing a drunk skeleton and monster running through the forest like ninjas. Yes, this was the best day ever. After Tasmania, I travelled up to Gosford which, is just outside Sydney. This was a very exciting time because I was able to stay with one of my best friends, Leah who, had just had a baby. I hadn't seen her for a few years so as girls do, we proceeded to have an amazing catch up mixed with a lot ...
