    ... in Kuranda it was immediately clear that the hippie culture that this area was famed for had not disappeared in the least. Wooden stalls housed everything from clothing, to handmade instruments to iridology shops. We stopped at an amazing French creperie for lunch served to us by charming Frenchmen.

    ... fun; I went to a bar down one of these sidealleys that had scientific equipment inside and you were also able to drink a cocktail using a fake syringe! Very original.     ... walks. That night we head down to PK's for a night walk with Angie. We see a cole rat, skink, a rainbow dragon, and a hunter spider. The following morning it's up early again for zip-lining through the trees. Excellent fun. Done with the world's oldest rainforest we drive down to Townsville.     ... this one - Adam thought it was a bit too cold, by the time we were heading back to camp we had a hire car organised & a cabin booked in the same holiday park we were already in, there you go our yearly NRMA fee has just paid for itself.
