No matter how many times I have seen it before, stepping into the Grand Place (main square and UNESCO world heritage site) is breathtaking. It is a very grand place indeed! But as thrilling as it was for me to be seeing it again in all its opulent glory, it was even more exciting to witness Mum seeing it for the first time - I think its safe to say that she was impressed!

Saturday in Brussels. tomorrow the cycling journey

Again, as I mentioned earlier, it was in the Thai Section of town one street filled with a variety of Thai restaurants where all the waiters hang around together regardless of which particular restaurant they work for. Now we are back at the hotel gearing up, as it were, for tomorrow's 69k ride. I am hoping for slightly warmer weather, but at least there does it seem to be calling for rain! Fingers ...
