          ... fish, steamed veg, curry and rice, and sweet and sour fitted the bill nicely.

          Went for a wander down the street to at least see the Stella Artois brewery while we are in the town where they started brewing in 1366 (unfortunately brewery tours finish at the end of October, which would have filled our afternoon nicely)

          Flying out tomorrow, time to repack the bags and get to sleep...

          ... gold ring" scams here like there were in Paris. The city is home to the European Parliament and European Union Headquarters so it is full of expats, who are well paid and happy. The city is also full of well-used green spaces and town squares, which gives the city a nice community feeling. Plus, Brussels is quite inexpensive, even in the busy tourist areas, food, souvenirs and clothes are cheaper or similar to Australia. Somehow or another ...

          ... br> In a way it is very reminiscent of Pennsylvania in the spring. The weather and the fauna all around. The bike paths we rode on reminded me of the paths we used to walk on in Morgantown.

          Kathy's family is very funny and very intelligent. I have enjoyed learning a little more about the attitudes and social tendencies of the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) area from them.
