    ... it did the job. It was a sit down bagel restaurant and the server asked that we order beverages because we had brought in our own and it wasn't allowed. On the menu, it explained what a bagel was and some history; clearly they aren't too common in Belgium.
    We walked around the town of Lueven after bagels and obviously got Belgian waffles - just as good the second time. I really wish I could take some home! It was cold and rainy all day - your typical Belgian ...

    ... is truly beautiful. Something interesting about Brussels is that, more than other cities, it is a clearly modernized, with many new buildings interspersed with the old. In order to maintain some unity among the old and new, they add elements to the new construction that are meant to complement the old.
