Oh dear - so soon? The horrid travel day has reared its ugly head. We aren't very good at travel days ... We tend to spend a fair bit of time planning for them but something invariably goes wrong. Today we found out we hadn't booked the hire car! We had decided that the easiest way to get a hire car for this trip was to get one from Heathrow. It is easier to drive around to get out of London than the city. ... a pair of mittens. When it's cold here, it's miserable. Warm hands would be very nice if we're out in a cold rainy day again. We also had to get photos for a rail discount card we want to apply for. (If two people are going to travel together a lot, they can use this card, which costs 30GBP for a year, to get 33% off any rail ticket. We hope to finish the rest of the trip by train, so it should pay for itself pretty soon.) And there was a photo booth in the mall, so that got ...
