Off to Manchester after supper to be next to the airport for the early morning flight! Need to check in at 6.40 am (sigh)... But very excited to get on the way! Hoping for an upgrade due to it being my birthday (10th feb), however, will be very surprised if i get one! Fingers crossed. Etihad flight to Bangkok via Abu Dhabi ...

Today sees us leaving Witton Gilbert with Passports! Vicky took us to Durham Station and then we caught the train and bus to Manchester Airport! The whole journey went very smoothly, with the exception of lugging large cases up and down stairs at York but hey ho! Very early in Airport - 1hr before gate opened. ... was like something off a boxing match weigh in, with only a 23kg allowance. Would we have to unpack and cause a scene? Bex weighed in a a subtle 21.7kg, Nat's weighed in at a precarious weight of 22.9kg! Phew we were safe for this leg of the journey. ... had seen and ready to go back home and into a warm bed. We got to the car, all 4 wheels still intact, plugged the address home into the GPS and were off to fight the traffic crowds.
We pulled out of the parking lot at 10 pm into a very busy road full of game traffic. We expected this and patiently waited as we moved our way onto the motorway. Once we were on the motorway the speed picked up and we hardly had anything slowing us down. We made it to 6km away ...
