Off to Manchester after supper to be next to the airport for the early morning flight! Need to check in at 6.40 am (sigh)... But very excited to get on the way! Back in Manchester and I've decided to spice the next couple of weeks up by taking day trips on the train to have a look around Liverpool and York. The weather forecast isn't looking too good so I'll have to choose my days carefully. Meanwhile Manchester still has a surprise or two in store for me.
On Monday I set out to look at the Manchester Museum of Art and I ended up thoroughly enjoying the couple of hours ...

... often get return tickets for under 15 Pound with National Express or Megabus. Although the trip is just over 5 hours long, it is worth every minute as you will drive through some beautiful countryside and see a little bit more than you bargain for.

If time permitted, I would of loved to have stayed in Manchester for longer than the two days available because it gave me a taste of a "real" UK city. Unlike London it was ...
