After a final week at Chuckleberry of chainsawing, wood splitting and bunkering the place down for winter it was finally time to start a new chapter in my journey. ... things, the the lights from the casinos made it as light as day where ever you walked. Walking down the Strip with money in your pocket is the best way to make yourself feel like a king. ... rain we've seen in two weeks. The weather has been ranging from uncomfortably warm to searing hot for the trip (85-100 degrees) but today was cold. 35 degrees in Aspen and talk of snow. On Digger's last day we drove up through the high country north of Jefferson up over Georgia Pass (11,585ft on the Continental Divide) in his 'Lincoln Navigator' hire car - he had to change from his BMW 740 after the sunroof exploded!!!!. Test fired a few weapons......
Very pristine environment above the tree line. Not a good place to be in the middle of winter.....
Beautiful views and the Aspen trees just beginning to change colour as winter approaches....
