... to board their flight home to Malaga. Lydia and António are from Madrid and so it's also time for them to return home and so we said goodbye, wishing them a nice return home and hoping that we could see and talk each other again.

It's 08h50 (local time) and it's now our boarding time. At the designated time, our Ryanair flight took off from Madrid.

... We hit ll of the major tourist points of course...the 0 kilo mark (center of spain), the bear and berries statue, churros y chocolate, street performers, museums (Reina Sofia y el Prado), Madrid's "Central Park," the Plaza Mayor, and the monument to Cervantes to name a few.

... completely unable to see go anywhere inside the perimeter fence, so what I got to see was limited. On the hill nearby was Templo de Debod, an ancient Egyptian temple given to Spain as a thankyou for helping Egypt with relocating temples in the creation Aswan Dam. Interesting to see an Egyptian temple in the the middle of modern Madrid.
