... too cold where every body part hurt so we called it quits early. We found out that Heavenly closed early too because of the conditions. Our plan was to take Jalen to see fireworks at Heavenly village on NYE but we cut the trip short and left NYE because of the horrible weather. It is way to cold, highs of 18. ... with views of the lake. Dog friendly, so we sat on the porch with Maggie May and half a dozen other dogs..We do love our dogs.:) Also the sierras make some HUGE Pine Cones.. I have never seen such big ones , ever! I'm going to bring some back to Florida and deposit in my front courtyard. Also saw Hugh Redwoods, but didn't get any pics ...

... a slope. We all had a go and I lost control at first but I got up and tried again and after a few turns I was an expert. We moved on from the easier slope to a steeper slope. Which I got the hang of pretty quickly and soon after that we travelled to the chairlift and went down a much longer and steeper slope. While we were skiing we had to do some turns to slow down. It worked but I need to try and make my turns ...

... Artie got a much better job as a soccer camp coach. When it was time to return to Baltimore Rich said he wasn't going and thus began his love affair with mountain towns.
