    ... biking. Our bike mechanic was Jefe Branham, the guy who just won the Tour Divide race. That race is intense, and I am in awe of this guy's achievement. It starts in Canada and finishes in New Mexico- 2,700 miles and 200,000 vertical feet. Jefe completed it in 16 days, averaging 170 miles per day... Many of those miles on isolated dirt trails.     ... covered hilltops of Colorado's Rocky Mountains. Going up was scary but wonderful, going down was even scarier as our horses had to figure out where to place their hooves on the rocky ground.
