    ... Items displayed in the barn (and in the plantation house) run from a basketwork armandillo that looks real to a large number of extraordinarily endowed totems to a plantation chair to a Galle chandelier. The term 'eclectic' does not begin to do justice to the breadth and almost unimaginable diversity of the collection.

    Our tour guide for the morning was also the chef, so it is perhaps not surprising that our buffet lunch ...

    It was an impossibly early start. Our flight was at 8 out of JFK so the car service we used picked us up at 3 am! It was an uneventful ride to the airport followed by long lines once arriving but we made our way to the gate to find our flight was detailed an hour or so. Still not bad...

    ... that is very much to the forefront, with a huge fundraising rally taking place in Independence Square while we were there and many posters and banners urging the use of protection, fidelity and abstinence.

    It's been a short but enjoyable visit to a very English part of the Caribbean.
