... my river cruise. I went back to where I didn't get one from the other day. I still was just one person, but just as I was about to give up, a group of 3 tourists came up looking for a boat ride. I'm going to admit that while I got lucky and was happy to go on the boat ride, finally, it was not all I expected it to be. It was a nice, calm ride and a good view of the city, but the information was a droning recording that contained about 8 languages we didn't need and started to put me ...

... out of Salzburg. The most ironic thing we found out when we visited the gazebo used for the "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" scene is that its now locked as an 80 year old injured herself while trying to rein-act the scene by dancing along the seats.

After a short tram ride to get nearer to old town, we spent the whole day wandering the four older parts of Prague. Prague is a fantastic city to explore on foot. There was food stalls set up in the square as well. If you can ...

... Merry Xmas to all. Hope you all had a great day with family and loved
ones. Had a pretty casual sort of a day. Cooked up a storm in the
kitchen for lunch. Throw in a couple of bottles of wine, a scotch or
two, and pretty soon we were getting into the spirit of the day.

Lots of people out and about during the evening. The Xmas markets were in
full swing. Restaurants and bars were full. Quite a festive feel to the

... absolutely charming hotel. It is a 14th century building that has been tastefully renovated while keeping the old gorgeous woodwork, furniture, and floors but giving the modern touch with a lovely updated bathroom with an enormous shower and all the conveniences we have come to expect! It is called The Waldstein and we would recommend it, particularly for the marvelous location so near Wenceslas Square, Charfles Bridge and Old ...
