... a little hair raising with a really steep trail that the people coming up were all struggling with (it was Scafell from Wasdale steep and given it was already pushing 20c that is hard work!)

The middle of the trail opened into a high meadow – nice but not that inspiring and then – horrors – it was back on the dreaded fire roads. Don't want to be a hiking snob but fire roads are dulllllllllll The view was anything but dull ...

For our final two days in Ventura we did the usual......lay on the beach and enjoyed the scenery before having to return to "beautiful" Glasgae. Our final two days weather wasnt very sunny but it was warm enough to still enjoy Ventura. Oh and there was no fights between us and the Germans at breakfast. The Germans seem to have left the building! Shame because I had a coissant waiting to be flung at his heed. For our final night we had a bbq in the park. The disposible bbqs ...
