    ... the most challenging mountain biking I have ever done. I had to walk sections - I was too chicken - but Josh managed to ride the whole trail!     ... of nowhere, where we thought we saw civilisation again, we found in the middle of nowhere the US marine Corps high altitude training centre. We reached a small town, where we filled up the tank with petrol and continued on our journey until we came across Mono Lake.     This morning we woke up to the Merced river and the sunlight. It was absolutely wonderful. We ate breakfast and headed over to the Mariposa Grove to see the giant sequoia trees. There was too much more to the grove accept for the massive size of the trees. After the grove we drove to the visitors center an ate lunch.
