      A Quick Drive

A travel blog entry by yellowstoners on Nov 13, 2014

... there. in any case, we headed out as soon as we could and made out way further south. We did intend to stop and check out Mount Vernon, but we were simply too tired to make another stop that day. Pounding the pavement in D.C. really brought down our stamina for future adventures. So, we decided to drive as far as we could that day and stop for the night when we got tired ...

      A good hike

A travel blog entry by ktchris on Nov 04, 2014

The next morning we woke up ready to take advantage of another day of trails. It cost 15 dollars to enter the Skyline drive so we knew we had to use it as much as possible. ... were all pretty hungry so we went out to dinner to a local burger joint. This was my first time hanging out with most of them outside of the gym so it was cool getting to know them a little better. Dinner was delicious and filling.

I returned back to this headwall a couple more times in the next few months. Once with just Lee, after he cleaned up my climbing wounds from ...

... It was so beautiful and peaceful. All during the day I kept having the feeling that I was about 8. Growing up I spent a lot of time in the woods and around water, mainly by myself. So this was like going back "home." Coming down from the first hike I almost stepped on a little snake. She and I had a little conversation and then I went on. I loved being in the woods/forest. Everything was pretty bare still. But there were ...
