... there were frescoes on the walls but they have been scrapped off or painted over and are gone except for a small blue one on the wall and a bit on the top of the dome. A double eagle is on a carved stone set up near the roof on the outside and some writing in Greek which is very strange for the time period. Er fuhr in horrendem Tempo die Passstrasse hoch und wieder runter, so dass ich die ganze Zeit ueber geschwitzt habe und sogar fast angefangen habe zu beten:-) Der Blue Eye Spring ist ein Loch im Boden, wo einfach so, sehr viel Wasser hervorsprudelt. Und das Wasser ist unglaublich blau, wie man den Fotos entnehmen kann. Die Farbe darauf ist wirklich echt... Bei dieser Quelle hatte eine franzoesische Reisegruppe Mitleid mit mir, da ich 2 Kilometer zurueck ...
