      Up early, again. although our hotel is fine, its nearer to the road and with the all the trees around we are disturbed early by the squawking of the birds. Not a problem but it takes time to get used to.

      Woke early like a kid at Christmas to find Luke and his friends had made it to Noosa. The leaking radiator held out. Luke was getting some sleep before meeting up. I went back to bed too!

      ... BEST DAY EVERRR as it was finally time to go to the Australian Zoo (Steve Irwins famous zoo and animal hospital) it was fantastic! We loved every minute of it. The weather was glorious, we watched an incredible bird show were they flew in and t of the stadium. We posed with kangaroos which are a lot bigger than wallabies.       ... minor problems. The new table is brilliant and the speaker under the cupboards over our beds is a huge change. Really effective sound. We camped at Eumundi in the markets car park. They have just finished new amenities with lovely loos and a female and a male shower with hot water. We stayed Tuesday night and the markets were on Wednesday.       ... 9am. The guy was just arriving, and let us in. One of the best Tourist Info help ever. The man is very enthusiastic and had the local knowledge of the history of the place, as well as its geology, with gold and other metal deposits. There were also stories of Gympie saving Queensland, then providing a prime minister who was a character in his own right and introduced the baby bonus back in the 1910s.
