Up early, again. although our hotel is fine, its nearer to the road and with the all the trees around we are disturbed early by the squawking of the birds. Not a problem but it takes time to get used to.
In the beach car park at Noosa Heads at 9am, it was already full, but parked up close by. Sitting on the beach and watched what locals get up …

Woke early like a kid at Christmas to find Luke and his friends had made it to Noosa. The leaking radiator held out. Luke was getting some sleep before meeting up. I went back to bed too!

We had a drive round Noosa. Its a beautiful area, Lukes second visit.
With waterways, mangroves and stunning river front homes it is very like …

This is our second night at Coolum Beach - part-way between Noosa Heads and Coloundra and much quieter than Noosa. Great surfing beaches if you're into surfing but fun to look at anyway. No nasty jellyfish so far and the water is about 25 degrees so we've managrd to get wet. Drove into the hinterlands today the town of Maleny. A bit touristy but mostly quaint and really good food. Went for a walk through ...

      Noosa

A travel blog entry by faraway-fantasy on Aug 26, 2014

... didn’t sound like it. It actually turned out to be a really good night and we didn’t spend much money after buying 15litres of goon (cheap boxed wine) for $10 each between 3 of us...safe to say we all woke up with no memory of the night and an arm full of entry stamps to different clubs! The next day I met back up with Charlotte the girl I’d met coming down the East Coast and we went to the beach so I could sleep off ...

      Brisbane to Noosa

... found the recommended campsite which was on the Noosa River and caught sunset while having our first experience of Goon (Australian boxed wine!). We sat near to some very large pelicans! As this was a popular caravan park there were only unpowered sites available for us, so we took our food, drinks and games over to the communal BBQ area. This place had such a good atmosphere and we really loved ...
