The next day we drove to Childers, looked around the town and then set up on another good free camp at Apple Tree Creek.
Yesterday we went to Maryborough (the birth place of the author of Mary Poppins) and walked around the quaint little town. Then onto another free camp just the other side of Gympie.
After so many free camps this week, we decided it was time for a Caravan Park, so booked 2 nights on ...

... walk down didn't take too long and after a picnic we decided to get back on the train and get off somewhere and have a look around because without a car it was hard to get anywhere else in the mountain range. Caboolture was our stop, not far from the mountains but quite a large town. All we ended up finding was a beautiful library and art gallery, so we had a quick look around and then got the train back to Brisbane for a well needed ...
Arbeiten an der Sunshine Coast
... bleiben. Bezahlt wird da ca. 18 $ die Stunde. Da ich nur 4 Wochen opfern will, bzw. Mitte Januar in Sydney sein will, muss ich nun auf einen anderen Job warten. Bisschen dumm gelaufen. Eventuell gibt es einen Job auf ner Pineapple-Farm.
Der Strand entschädigt aber für die Wartezeit. Vielleicht leihe ich mir ein Surfbrett aus und versuche mein Glück.

Noosa's coastal walk en River cruise
... gaan zag iemand nog twee papagaaien in de boom zitten. Op de terugweg nog een ijsvogel, wistle kite en een van de grootste havikken gezien. Wat een geluk!!
Maandag avond blijkt de grote stapavond van Noosa te zijn en ik ben door de staf van Flashpackers meegevraagd. Dat kan ik natuurlijk niet overslaan, dus vanavond stappen!!! Helaas moet ik morgenvroeg de bus van kwart over 8 naar Brisbane hebben. Hopelijk kan ik in de bus nog wat slapen....

Ups and Downs
... and true to its name its been sunny almost every day I have been here- just a little bit of rain the first couple days. There are parrots, kookaburras and flying foxes everywhere, and the unfamiliar bird noises wake me up each morning and remind me that I really am somwhere else :) Its just become spring, and temperatures all already getting up near 30- they tell me summer is unbearable with the humidity- but right now is perfect.
