Historical Traveler Reviews Castle View Apartments Cesky Krumlov
Beautiful Apartments, right in the heart of Cesky Krumlov. We spent 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon and we really wished we had of booked along stay. We stayed in both the Attic Apartment, which was just wonderful and also the Ground Floor Apartment - alittle noisy but still lovely. The breakfast was about the best we had on our whole trip.
Cesky Krumlov is an amazing little town full of surprises. I totally recommend going rafting down the river, we went on a 3 hour rafting trip, stopping off along the way on side of the river for a well earned beer! It was the most peaceful day of our whole honeymoon...

A Wonderful Place to Stay
We stayed in Apartment 3 which promised views of the Castle from 2 windows - we had magnificent views directly from the sitting room and also from the second bedroom. It was magical to watch the Castle from the window, particularly in the evening when it was lit up. The two bedroom apartment way surpassed our expectations - it was very spacious, beautifully decorated - the beds are made up in 'Australian' style i.e with a top and bottom sheet and one large doona for the double bed - we loved this aspect! The flats are located just off the main Square so could perhaps be noisy in the middle of Summer when you would need to keep your Windows open during the evening - we had no problem with noise, though. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room and was provided at a hotel in the same road as the apartment - it was a lovely buffet breakfast with enough choices to satisfy even our fussy children! The owners of the Apartments are lovely people and very helpful - even came with us to help in locating the carpark for the car - secure carparking is provided but it is not close to the Apartments - I imagine this would be the same situation for most accommodation near the Town Square. We cannot recommend the Castle View Apartments highly enough - we loved our stay in Cesky Krumlov and intend to go back - we would definitely stay at Castle View again!
Really nice place!
Stayed here 26-27 Apr 06, our first 2 nights in the Czech Republic. We had the apartment with the balcony and castle view. Spacious, well appointed, little touches included. Nice breakfast provided next door. Great location. Quiet, comfortable. 1+1/2 bath really helped out in the morning. Everything like brand new. Exceeded our expectations in every way. Would certainly stay there again.
My wife and I stayed at Castle View in July 2006, having found its excellent website. These are lovely apartments in a characterful building just off the central square. The rooms are very attractive in cool, neutral colours, are well appointed and feel really fresh and clean. Views over the red rooftops and cobbled streets towards the amazing castle tower are wonderful. What makes the place particularly special, though, is the extremely helpful and friendly service of Jiri, his wife and his youthful staff. We couldn't imagine a nicer bunch! All in all this was an extremely happy stay and we will return as soon as is feasible.
I loved this hotel and would highly recommend it! The pictures on the website do not do this place justice - the room was huge and beautifully decorated. I stayed in the Attic Castle View Apt. and it had a sitting area, kitchen, living room area and a charming bed with a canopy over it. Everything was clean, new and very comfortable.
The staff was first rate too - very personable and helpful. They provided a handy information sheet upon checkin with a list of restaurants, pubs and grocery stores (if you prefer to make use of the kitchen in your room and pick up your own food). They also provided me with a hair dryer too.
I would definitely stay here again.
This is a hote, which i mustb recomment for all the travellers.

Modern yet traditional & great view
I've stayed in Castle View Apartmentes over a weekend in October, 2005. It's situated right in the historical center, with an entrance from a mediaval age street and with a lovely view of the town, river and, above all, the castle. I guess it has been recently reconstructed, so everything is new and nice, but they did their best to keep the traditional look. I stayed in a very comfortable and spacious room right under the roof equipped with all you could need. I can only recommend it.
Great view and beautiful rooms!
The castle view apartments felt new all over. In fact we could still see a few small signs of the recent renovations. The room my wife and I stay in were beautiful. We stayed a couple of nights and the service was very discreet and friendly.
I figure a picture is worth more than my words, my wife liked the place so much she had me take pictures. Several of the room plus one from out the window. Like I said, this place has great views.
Loved the heated bathroom floors and warm service.
Located close to all major attractions in this delightful town. Wide choice of apartment sizes. Beautiful furnishings. The heated towel rack made the thick, fluffy towels feel even better. If this place had one of the few elevators in Cesky Krumlov, it would be perfect.
Great Views from Castle View Apartments
During the annual June "Celebrations of the Rose" I stayed at Castle View Apartments. It was comfortable (recently renovated), convenient (one minute from the Information Center in the town square), and charming (canopied bed with exposed wood beams on cathedral ceiling). Three of the apartments had castle views for seeing the firework celebration that night. Helpful staff and great service.
Cesky Krumlov is even more charming in the evening when the day tourists have gone back to Prague and the lights are shining on the castle and river.

... are! Town just as I imagined. Motel lovely and lots of little streets to wander around and bars and restaurants. Went up in the castle, which isn't so impressive, and up the tower. Then wandered a bit more, had a drink at a bar, then dinner on the river , watching the canoes and rafts coming in. Then went to a piano bar and sat with a yank from Charlstn... Had a good ...
Today was very exciting, we set off early in the car to travel over the border into the Czech Republic. we collected two friends of Elfi and Gottfried inLinz, and it took about 2 hours to drive. The border was very disappointing! No guards, no passport control!
The countryside was lovely, lots of forests and alongside the Moldau river, which is a centre for lots of water sports.

... 15 mins of searching for the camp sites, we were driving along a narrow road when some massive drops of rain started to fall - within 10 mins, there was a river running through every street and we were reduced to driving at 10km/h to see where we were going and miss the oceanlike puddles that had appeared!
We found a restaurant with wifi and sat down for something to eat and drink for lunch - and Andy started to find somewhere to stay (no tents in ...
... company drove us to the starting point in Vetrni, around 5km up river, where they launched us off in our 2 man plastic raft-canoe. We were off! We were a bit wobbly at first and it took us a while to get into a rhythm (who am I kidding, Mikey did most of the rowing!). Actually, you hardly needed to row at all. It’s definitely not a race. The idea is just to amble your way down the river, so we would row a few strokes to get us pointed in the right direction, and then just rode the ...
... had a couple of small rooms with tables and lounges and some fake Van Gogh artwork on the walls. There was a lingering musty wet smell but I got over it quick enough. I ordered a half stein of the local brew which cost me 1€ and as we were sitting down Adam rocked up with a local girl who was completely wasted. She promptly fell asleep on the couch and we chatted around her.
When drunk girls' friends arrived we all headed down to the basement of the pub which ...
