Historical Traveler Reviews Castle View Apartments Cesky Krumlov
Beautiful Apartments, right in the heart of Cesky Krumlov. We spent 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon and we really wished we had of booked along stay. We stayed in both the Attic Apartment, which was just wonderful and also the Ground Floor Apartment - alittle noisy but still lovely. The breakfast was about the best we had on our whole trip.
Cesky Krumlov is an amazing little town full of surprises. I totally recommend going rafting down the river, we went on a 3 hour rafting trip, stopping off along the way on side of the river for a well earned beer! It was the most peaceful day of our whole honeymoon...

A Wonderful Place to Stay
We stayed in Apartment 3 which promised views of the Castle from 2 windows - we had magnificent views directly from the sitting room and also from the second bedroom. It was magical to watch the Castle from the window, particularly in the evening when it was lit up. The two bedroom apartment way surpassed our expectations - it was very spacious, beautifully decorated - the beds are made up in 'Australian' style i.e with a top and bottom sheet and one large doona for the double bed - we loved this aspect! The flats are located just off the main Square so could perhaps be noisy in the middle of Summer when you would need to keep your Windows open during the evening - we had no problem with noise, though. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room and was provided at a hotel in the same road as the apartment - it was a lovely buffet breakfast with enough choices to satisfy even our fussy children! The owners of the Apartments are lovely people and very helpful - even came with us to help in locating the carpark for the car - secure carparking is provided but it is not close to the Apartments - I imagine this would be the same situation for most accommodation near the Town Square. We cannot recommend the Castle View Apartments highly enough - we loved our stay in Cesky Krumlov and intend to go back - we would definitely stay at Castle View again!
Really nice place!
Stayed here 26-27 Apr 06, our first 2 nights in the Czech Republic. We had the apartment with the balcony and castle view. Spacious, well appointed, little touches included. Nice breakfast provided next door. Great location. Quiet, comfortable. 1+1/2 bath really helped out in the morning. Everything like brand new. Exceeded our expectations in every way. Would certainly stay there again.
My wife and I stayed at Castle View in July 2006, having found its excellent website. These are lovely apartments in a characterful building just off the central square. The rooms are very attractive in cool, neutral colours, are well appointed and feel really fresh and clean. Views over the red rooftops and cobbled streets towards the amazing castle tower are wonderful. What makes the place particularly special, though, is the extremely helpful and friendly service of Jiri, his wife and his youthful staff. We couldn't imagine a nicer bunch! All in all this was an extremely happy stay and we will return as soon as is feasible.
I loved this hotel and would highly recommend it! The pictures on the website do not do this place justice - the room was huge and beautifully decorated. I stayed in the Attic Castle View Apt. and it had a sitting area, kitchen, living room area and a charming bed with a canopy over it. Everything was clean, new and very comfortable.
The staff was first rate too - very personable and helpful. They provided a handy information sheet upon checkin with a list of restaurants, pubs and grocery stores (if you prefer to make use of the kitchen in your room and pick up your own food). They also provided me with a hair dryer too.
I would definitely stay here again.
This is a hote, which i mustb recomment for all the travellers.

Modern yet traditional & great view
I've stayed in Castle View Apartmentes over a weekend in October, 2005. It's situated right in the historical center, with an entrance from a mediaval age street and with a lovely view of the town, river and, above all, the castle. I guess it has been recently reconstructed, so everything is new and nice, but they did their best to keep the traditional look. I stayed in a very comfortable and spacious room right under the roof equipped with all you could need. I can only recommend it.
Great view and beautiful rooms!
The castle view apartments felt new all over. In fact we could still see a few small signs of the recent renovations. The room my wife and I stay in were beautiful. We stayed a couple of nights and the service was very discreet and friendly.
I figure a picture is worth more than my words, my wife liked the place so much she had me take pictures. Several of the room plus one from out the window. Like I said, this place has great views.
Loved the heated bathroom floors and warm service.
Located close to all major attractions in this delightful town. Wide choice of apartment sizes. Beautiful furnishings. The heated towel rack made the thick, fluffy towels feel even better. If this place had one of the few elevators in Cesky Krumlov, it would be perfect.
Great Views from Castle View Apartments
During the annual June "Celebrations of the Rose" I stayed at Castle View Apartments. It was comfortable (recently renovated), convenient (one minute from the Information Center in the town square), and charming (canopied bed with exposed wood beams on cathedral ceiling). Three of the apartments had castle views for seeing the firework celebration that night. Helpful staff and great service.
Cesky Krumlov is even more charming in the evening when the day tourists have gone back to Prague and the lights are shining on the castle and river.

We were picked up by CK Shuttle at our hotel at 8:45 AM for the ride to Cesky Kumlov (CK). There were eight of us in the van, 6 Americans and 2 Aussies. We arrived in CK at noon. We have an apartment room downstairs with a patio which would be nice if it wasn't raining and cold. We have plenty of room to move around since it also has a little …
... interesting roads. Traffic was a little heavier than we are used to in Kärnten but we made reasonable progress anyway. After about an hour and a half a combination of numb bums and dry throats had us stopping alongside the Hallstättersee.
Onward to our lunch stop at Gmünden another lakeside town but one with an ever so slightly faded look to it. With grand buildings on every corner ...
... relaxing, reading, and watching the rafters float by. We had one last tasty Czech treat called a Trdlenik (no idea how that is pronounced) - it's basically a cinnamon roll wrapped around a stick and cooked over an open flame/coals. We liked the basic cinnamon sugar variety, but they were also available with chocolate or nuts. The first one we had in Prague was much better than the one today, but it was still very ...
We and Cesky Krumlov got off to a rather bad start when we got lost and couldn't find parking anywhere. However, when we were finally settled in, we were able to explore this incredible and picturesque little village. The medieval town smells like campfire and has a wonderful feel to it that I cannot put into words. Accordion music wafts up and down the streets along with the smell of freshly baked Czech doughnuts. Being here, you feel as though you've ...
... fountain. Then we walked through the winding medieval streets to the old wooden bridge, looking up at the castle, built into the hillside and using the natural, sheer rock faces as walls and defences. Across the bridge, we wandered around Latran (I initially called it "Latrine", very unfairly, because it was actually a very nice part of town, the old Jewish quarter).
We turned back after an hour or so, headed up the hill and into the ...
