Today we took a very miserable 3 hours bus ride to Cesky Krumlov. The bus itself was in good condition, but we were in the corner on the last row and the air was barely moving. It was hot & stuffy, but only cost us about $8 total, so I guess we shouldn't complain too much. There's not much to the town other than a castle and a lot of very nice …

Today we visited the UNESCO town of Telc. Pronounced Telch like belch. Un untouched 16th. century town.

Had a limited castle tour as they are filming the movie "Emperor". Barbara auditioned for a solo and got the part!! Only problem, we can't be here for the rest of the filming.

... concert from our hotel room-this time harp and violin. At 5 we boarded our bus and visited a family outside of town. They live in a 16th century house that they are restoring. After a tour of the house and yard we were treated to tea and cookies and a violin concert! Back to town, dinner in a cave, our first authentic Budweiser beer (not the American variety) and off to bed.

Next up was a raft trip down the river. There were three weirs on the route, and each one had a special chute for rafts and kayaks. I was in the front of the raft and so had the best view and got the most splash at the bottom of the chute. The rest of the ride was smooth and pleasant, giving us new views of the castle and town.
