Once they had moved on we got out to take a walk, we walked up the road passing some very strange rock formations, we could clearly see stalactites hanging down, mostly broken, behind them were large cave like recesses, they looked like big teeth. After a very stormy night with thunder endlessly rattling around the mountains we awoke to continuing wind and rain. We hadn't set the alarm so we had a late start. House keeping did some washing as there is somewhere undercover to hang it and with this wind it should dry. ... the tv on and it was reporting of snow across most if Greece, also about a ferry that had had difficulties and people were missing. Every time we went outside for anything we were soaked by the wind lashing the rain against us. It's a good job we have electric hook up and can put the heating on to dry our coats, shoes and trousers. ... the dunes to the waters edge. There is, as it said in the book a lovely blue lagoon, then the sea beyond. There is a rocky outcrop that you could paddle across to, but we don't have time today.
