Lovely little place where Columbus stopped for water on his voyages. Went for a walk and found a bar with wifi. When we got back to the ship we had a very late lunch at about 2.15. Didn't bother with a sweet as afternoon tea started at 2.30 so had a tea cake and cakes instead. In the evening went to the dancing after champagne at the jewellery store. We'd got an invite but didn't buy anything. Then late night ...

... They served us a delicious salad buffet and the biggest pan of Paella I have ever seen. Everyone said there Thanks and most people boarded the bus to head out. We took the afternoon to enjoy some deck time and a trip to the hotel spa. Martin got a massage and I got a full set of exfoliating treatments followed by a massage. Tonight is our final night in the Canary Islands and we are sad to ...

Today's route was a loop around the island with some significant climbing. The elevation change we go up to is 3799 feet. We started the day out in the van to avoid some very steep grades up the mountain. The bikers who did it said it was the toughest start they have done. We got out of the van in El Palmar and started to climb a slow steady up hill ranging for 7 to 12 percent grades. Martin was having some breathing ...

... bag off for the rest of the trip. We upgraded our bikes and the light weight made a big difference on the climbs. I still out climbed Martin but he sails past me on the down hills. We joined the bus again because the road became to rough for safe biking over the next climb. We stayed on the bus to head to our next hotel in Buenavista on the coast. I rode 16 miles and Martin rode 26 miles with elevation gains of 2160 feet. The trip on the ...

Since the trip was not possible due to bad weather. I had nothing to do but go to the beach. Ironically the sun came out, but it was still windy as hell. I will do mount Teide next time I come... Went back to the hotel and had lunch and had to take a shower as I was covered in sand! Caught up with Darina and we went to the super market and then to the beach. Then chilled out in the hotel garden for a bit. ...
