... the city. On our tour we visited a house for sale for $8m and although it was beautifully furnished there really wasn't that much space and no space to extend either. In the evening we visited a beautiful museum called the Getty centre, it was the first time we visited a museum in the evening and it was gorgeous. The museum housed art and sculptures from the 1600's and was huge - the views over the city were beautiful. Like typical LA folk we visited a ...

We were the last four in there and we had to split up. I was on the front row in the corner so I had a bit of a sore neck after watching the film... Film was only ok too! Sorry Alice, I know up I tried to explain the ...

... car to the zoo entrance we couldn't even see it. All I knew was it was somewhere in the direction we started walking. Well, we got to the gate, bought our tickets and around 2pm we started our San Diego Zoo experience.

The kids enjoyed this zoo and we took advantage of the buses to see as much as we could in the short time we had. Price is very steep for a family of four to get in but I wrapped my mind around it before I arrived, accepted it and enjoyed ...

... away with a trip to the Gas Lamp Quarter and Downtown area. The Gas Lamp Quarter is really buzzing with loads of great bars and restaurants and we had a deluxe Bento Box which was out of this world. San Diego has the second biggest naval base in the US so we headed to the harbor and took a look around the boats. There are some fantastic old sail boats in the harbor which have tonnes of history attached to them. Our first night in San Diego was a Monday night ...
